Eurogamer are reporting that it has learnt from “multiple sources” that the latest entry within the Call of Duty series, expected to be Modern Warfare 3, is due to launch on November 8th 2011.

Also, an internal Tesco database reportedly refers to the new title as Call of Duty: Project Colossus.

Such a release date matches that of previous entries within the series; Black Ops released on 9th November 2010, Modern Warfare 2 on 10th November 2009, World at War on 14th November 2008 and Modern Warfare on 9th November 2007. A November 8th 2011 release date would once again see the instalment launch worldwide on a Tuesday.

Such news leaks ahead of tonight’s financial results briefing from Activision Blizzard, for January – March 2011, and both Activision and Tesco were unavailable for comment.
