Bigben and Kylotonn have released a new trailer for WRC 8, the official FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) 2019 game.

The new Career Mode has looked to mimic the real world in allowing players to become a driver for a WRC team for the first time.

You must progress from season to season to compete in the WRC category and, ultimately, become world champion.

After following several teams in different rallies, the developer hopes to have captured the key aspects to a successful season.

You must plan out your calendar to decide which events to do between rallies, whether that be training, manufacturer challenges, rest, or classic events.

You will also have to manage a whole crew with six different and interconnected job roles to be used strategically in each rally, and then you can upgrade your crew through R&D and a skill tree that will evolve based on your choices.

In WRC 8, you will have the chance to choose your driver from the official teams of the 2019 season marked by the return of Sébastien Ogier (6 times World Champion) from Citroën Racing, accompanied by Esapekka Lappi. Toyota will try to defend its 2018 manufacturers’ title with Jari-Matti Latvala, Kris Meeke, and Ott Tänak.

While 2019 is also marked by the return of the nine-time World Champion and WRC legend, Sébastien Loeb, driving this year for Hyundai Motorsport in support of Thierry Neuville, Andreas Mikkelsen and Dani Sordo. And, M-Sport Ford will rely on Elfyn Evans and Teemu Suninento to draw attention again.

These will also be WRC 2, Junior WRC drivers and historic models that will be revealed soon, with more than 100 special stages in 14 countries to overcome – complete with a randomized dynamic weather system that will constantly change your driving experience.

WRC 8 will release for Nintendo Switch worldwide in September 2019.
