Continuing today’s Assassin’s Creed III information blow out, Ubisoft have released a further trailer profiling the weapons and capabilities of its new, central protagonist.

His name is Ratohnaké:ton, a Native American of English heritage, who will tread a storyline that is set during the Revolutionary War. Adopting the name Connor, he joins the war for liberty, spanning locales that include colonial towns to chaotic battlefields where George Washington’s Continental Army clash with the imposing British Army.

Assassin’s Creed III will introduce a “two-handed combat system”, effectively allowing you to dual-wield weapons with early examples being the tomahawk and knife, and seasonal changes that will dynamically affect the environment and your abilities.

Rumours also emerged of a four-player co-operative mode, and that Ubisoft Annecy are currently working on the multiplayer portion of the title.

New screenshots were also released earlier today.

Assassin’s Creed III is due to release worldwide across PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on October 31st, with a Wii U version to launch later in the year.
