The Wii U iteration may be beckoning, but this week has seen a new update for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS – upgrading your experience to version 1.0.4.
Sadly, while including all previous updates, precise details as to what the new update does have failed to materialise. That’s aside from the rather ambiguous: “Adjustments will be made to balance the game” and “Other adjustments will be made to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.”
Nintendo have specified that downloading the update is a requirement to play online multiplayer, and, once downloaded, will prevent you from enjoying local multiplayer with others that are yet to do so. More notably, be wary that any replay data saved prior to installing the update will be unplayable.
