Having released alongside the Nintendo 3DS XL within Japan, New Super Mario Bros. 2 is already off to a confident start.
Enterbrain have revealed that the game, which is the first available in both physical and digital formats, achieved sales of 430,185 units during its first two days on sale.
The original New Super Mario Bros., which released for Nintendo DS in 2006, fared better in comparison, having sold in excess of 480,000 units in Japan at launch.
