New Super Mario Bros. 2 players worldwide have collected a staggering 50,610,416,353 coins, according to Nintendo.

Such a figure is confirmed to owners upon loading up the game, before they set out to gather even more.

This was further accompanied by a SpotPass message from the development team, which reads as follows:

“A message from the development team.

“Thank you for purchasing New Super Mario Bros. 2. We hope you’re enjoying it!

“The entire world has collected over fifty BILLION coins! We really look forward to seeing just how many everyone can collect!

“Take care, until next time!”
