With Nintendo heralding 2013 as “the year of Luigi,” today saw the company announce the first downloadable content for New Super Mario Bros. U.
This will change all the existing courses, reinventing the entire game under a New Super Luigi U banner. As Mario isn’t making an appearance, Nintendo have opted to remove ‘Bros.’ from the title.
Iwata explained that due to the “large-scale” nature of the project, it will take some time to complete but will be available through the Nintendo eShop this year.
