THQ Nordic and Purple Lamp Studios have shared a new trailer for SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, which is coming to Nintendo Switch later this year.
After the mysterious fortune teller Kassandra hands SpongeBob and Patrick wish-granting Mermaid’s Tears, the two buddies unintentionally open up portals leading to strange Wishworlds.
With seven Wishworlds to explore – such as Wild West Jellyfish Fields and Halloween Rock Bottom – it’s all fun and games until their friends get lost in the portals.
In Wishworlds full of knights, cowboys, pirates and prehistoric snails, you will have the chance to don more than 30 “spongetastic” cosmic skins like SnailBob and SpongeGar on your adventure while unlocking classic and new platforming skills such as the Fishhook Swing and Karate Kick.
You can meet all your favourite characters from the series – who are voiced by their original actors – and experience “buddy movie banter” with SpongeBob’s permanent companion Balloon-Patrick. The game’s soundtrack will also have 101 songs from the series, which will include Sweet Victory.
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake will release at retail and on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2022.
