Thunder Lotus has released a new trailer for Spiritfarer will release on Nintendo Switch, exploring the game’s themes of friendship and letting to go.

The trailer offers a deeper look at the relationship between protagonist Stella and the spirit passengers that she meets.

With Spiritfarer, the developer has looked to deliver an experience that is both entertaining and emotionally moving.

You play as Stella, ferrymaster to the deceased, and, after building a boat to explore the world, must befriend and care for the spirits that you encounter before finally releasing them into the afterlife.

That will see you farm, mine, fish, harvest, cook, and craft your way across mystical seas, with the chance for a second player to join you as Daffodil the cat in cooperative play.

Spiritfarer will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2020.
