Shadow Mewtwo has been one of the more unexpected additions to Pokkén Tournament‘s playable character roster, with the Psychic-type Legendary Pokémon’s new form still shrouded in mystery.

CoroCoro Comic has shed some more light, at least on how the character will play in-game. Serebii reports that the Japanese magazine has shared that its Psywave attacks can be used in multiple ways, which, while primarily a close combat move to build combos, can be used as a vortex to draw in opponents or as a projectile attack.

Shadow Mewtwo’s playstyle largely allows players to go on the offence, with Power and Technical moves that keep shifting unpredictably in an effort to confuse your opponent.

It was recently revealed that every amiibo will be compatible with the game, and that it will require 4.23GB to download from the Nintendo eShop.

Pokkén Tournament will release exclusively for Wii U worldwide on March 18th.
