During the country’s first ever dedicated Nintendo Direct, Nintendo Australia’s managing director Tom Enoki has announced that the New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL will launch this November.
They will see release on Friday 21st November, with the news arriving after Nintendo of Europe and Nintendo of America signalled that the redesigned handhelds wouldn’t be making their way to their respective regions until 2015.
In Australia, the New 3DS will be priced at AU$219.95 with the New 3DS XL slightly higher at AU$249.95. There’ll be a selection of 20 customisable face plates available at launch, although remember that these are only compatible with the New 3DS.
It will be Japan that will still first see the New 3DS and New 3DS XL debut next month, where they are scheduled to launch on Saturday 11th October.
