Knights Peak and Windup Games have shared a new trailer for their heartwarming third-person open-world adventure Hela, showcasing how the Froggy Backpack will turn every mouse into a hero.
“The Froggy Backpack is the heart of adventure in Hela, granting the tiny mouse extraordinary abilities to explore a world brimming with magic and wonder,” the publisher explains.
“With the Frog Tongue, players can latch onto branches, beams, or ledges to swing, climb, or build momentum. It’s not just a tool for movement but a way to interact with the world, pulling objects closer, dragging them into place, or even forming bridges between players. When paired with forest creatures, the tongue becomes a lasso, harnessing their speed and strength for exhilarating rides.
“By inflating the backpack, the mouse unfurls a paraglider, allowing for graceful descents and daring midair maneuvers. Mastering gliding, adjusting altitude, riding air currents, and executing precise turns unlocks the verticality of Hela’s world.
“On the ground, the inflated backpack transforms into a bouncy platform, perfect for reaching new heights alone or with friends. A powerful plunge sends the mouse hurtling toward the ground with force, ideal for uncovering hidden paths, bouncing off trampolines, or simply creating a bit of joyful mayhem. As a trusty companion, the backpack safely stores gathered items, ingredients, and tools, keeping them secure until they’re needed back at the witch’s cottage.
“For solo players or smaller teams, the backpack’s magic allows the creation of Shades, echoing the player’s actions. Whether lassoing, bridging, or gliding, Shades ensure that the adventure is always a full team effort, even when playing alone.

This debut game from the creators behind the Unravel series is set in the beautiful northern Scandinavian nature, and tells the story of a kind Witch and her familiars – agile mice with magical abilities.
The friendly Witch has long used her magic to help the local folk, but she has now fallen ill and needs help herself. It’s up to you to set out on a quest to heal the Witch, in an adventure that combines the exploration of magical landscapes, foraging, puzzles, action and brewing.

Hela will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide in 2026.
