The Pokémon Company has announced that a new Detective Pikachu game is in development for Nintendo Switch.

After the success that the Pokémon Detective Pikachu movie has been met with, Creatures Inc. are now hard at work to conclude the story on the portable home console – after the original Nintendo 3DS game had ended on a cliffhanger.

The crime-solving electric mouse will be back in action, but, at this point, more details about the upcoming game remain a mystery.

In the original Nintendo 3DS game, you take on the role of young Tim Goodman, exploring Ryme City with his gruff, coffee-drinking and talkative partner Pikachu.

They both choose to team up to investigate the disappearance of Tim’s father and must hunt for clues, talk to witnesses, and uncover the city’s secrets to do so.
