New Bravely Second: End Layer trailer demonstrates gameplay mechanics

With Bravely Second: End Layer nearing being a month away from the game’s Japanese launch, Square Enix have shared a new trailer presenting players with its unique gameplay mechanics.

That sees the return of deciding whether to use Brave or Default when in battle – letting you attack multiple times at once but delaying your next turn, or storing turns to do so without consequence. Whereas Bravely Second will allow players to temporarily stop time, unleashing a flurry of attacks without any retaliation from your foe.

Bravely Second will have 30 job classes, themselves comprising of more than 300 abilities, so there’s room for customisation. This is extended through the Abilink system, that lets you call on any player that you have picked up through StreetPass to help you sway battles in your favour.

Bravely Second: End Layer will launch exclusively for Nintendo 3DS in Japan on April 23rd.
