Playdius and Aurelien Regard Games have released a new AWAY: Journey to the Unexpected trailer, a colourful first-person adventure game in which your character is great at making kick-ass friends.

It will “mix the soft, cartoony look of 2D animation with a 3D first-person gameplay,” presenting an experience that is expected to last around 10 hours and combines action, negotiation and rogue-lite elements.

The strange characters that you meet on your journey can be recruited as allies and played in first-person, as long as you can come up with the right answers to convince them to join your team.

AWAY: Journey To The Unexpected will see release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2019.
