The Pokémon Company and DeNA have teamed up to launch a “new and exciting” Pokémon game for mobile, which will see release this fiscal year.

That means that we can expect to play it before 31st March 2020, however, at this point in time, we know no more than that.

“[We] plan to launch a new and exciting smartphone game this fiscal year based on the globally popular Pokemon franchise in partnership with The Pokémon Company,” DeNA revealed in its latest financial report. “More details, such as information about the game and launch timing, will be announced later.”

The Tokyo-based developer has created mobile games such as Marvel: War of Heroes and Final Fantasy Record Keeper, but, more notably, has teamed up with Nintendo for Miitomo, Super Mario Run, Fire Emblem Heroes, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, and Mario Kart Tour.
