Netflix has released a new trailer for the upcoming The Witcher series, revealing that all eight episodes will debut on the streaming service globally on 20th December 2019.
Based on the best-selling fantasy books, The Witcher promises “an epic tale of fate and family.” That will follow the intertwined destinies of three individuals in the world of The Continent, in which humans, elves, witchers, gnomes, and monsters battle to survive and thrive. And, more than that, where good and evil is not easily identified.
It stars Henry Cavill (Mission Impossible – Fallout, Man of Steel) as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra (The ABC Murders, Wanderlust) as Yennefer, and Freya Allan (The War of the Worlds, Into The Badlands) as Ciri.
They will appear alongside other members of the cast that include Jodhi May as Calanthe, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson as Eist, Adam Levy as Mousesack, MyAnna Buring as Tissaia, Mimi Ndiweni as Fringilla, Therica Wilson-Read as Sabrina, Emma Appleton as Renfri, Eamon Farren as Cahir, Joey Batey as Jaskier, Lars Mikkelsen as Stregobor, Royce Pierreson as Istredd, Maciej Musiał as Sir Lazlo, Wilson Radjou-Pujalte as Dara, and Anna Shaffer as Triss.
