Application Systems have announced that Nelly Cootalot: The Fowl Fleet will release on Nintendo Switch next month.

In this pirate-themed adventure game, you play as Nelly Cootalot who, after the villainous Baron Widebeard kidnaps a fleet of birds and hypnotizes them to do his bidding, sets out to rescue them.

That will see you journey from the South Seas to the icy north and beyond, racing aristocrats for fun and profit, commandeering an ancient airship, and entering the mind of a monkey wizard along the way.

The game comes to Nintendo Switch with redesigned control schemes for the portable home console, with support for the Joy-Con and touch screen input.

There’s also a commentary track from developer and award-winning stand-up comedian Alasdair Beckett-King, and Tom Baker – well-known as the fourth incarnation of Doctor Who – has recorded lines as part of the English voice cast.

Nelly Cootalot: The Fowl Fleet will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on July 11th.
