Route 59 Games has announced that their cel-shaded visual novel Necrobarista: Final Pour is now available on Nintendo Switch, news that was shared in this week’s Indie World showcase.

The “Final Pour” is an enhanced version that has been remastered with overhauled visuals and a cinematic aspect ratio as well as new content which includes “four hours of never-before-seen gameplay, new modes, more original music, additional environments to explore, and bundled-in DLC.”

That bundles in the “Walking to the Sky” and “Devil’s Den” downloadable content updates which were previously released on Steam and Apple Arcade, a Studio Mode that lets you create and edit scenes using the Necrobarista Engine and the Ashling Doodle Mode which allows you to draw and customise new patrons before inserting them into the game.

Necrobarista: Final Pour takes place in a supernatural back-alley cafe based in Melbourne where the dead are granted one last night to mingle with the living. The narrative unravels over that one night, with players encountering a diverse cast of characters through which the developer looking to tell human stories that have an authenticity to them despite the otherworldly setting.

“When we first envisioned Necrobarista, we never expected it to become a cult hit that would touch and inspire so many people,” explains Route 59 Games lead designer Kevin Chen. “We look forward to welcoming even more fans into our community now that the game is out on Nintendo Switch and hope those that have been with us the whole time enjoy the Final Pour.”

Necrobarista: Final Pour is now available as a timed console exclusive on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide priced at £16.19 ($21.99), with an additional 15% off as an introductory launch discount.
