Route 59 has confirmed that Necrobarista will release on Nintendo Switch next year.

This cinematic visual novel promises to combine a supernatural suspense story with a stylised cinematic presentation, complete with an aesthetic inspired by anime.

The game, which is being developed using the Unity engine, takes place in a supernatural back-alley cafe based in Melbourne where the dead are granted one last night to mingle with the living.

The narrative will unravel over that one night, with players encountering a diverse cast of characters through which the developer looking to tell human stories that have an authenticity to them despite the otherworldly setting.

Necrobarista will see release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2021.
