2K has announced that NBA 2K18 is in development for Nintendo Switch, and will see release on the console later in the year.

The publisher promises that it will continue to maintain the high benchmark that the series has set, and promises “unrivalled realism and true NBA gameplay” across all platforms.

“Bringing NBA 2K18 to Nintendo Switch is a natural progression as we continue to expand our audience and welcome new fans to the franchise,” comments Jason Argent, NBA 2K’s senior vice president of basketball operations.

NBA 2K17 was met with a positive reception, now sat with an 88 Metascore on PlayStation 4 and a 90 Metascore for the Xbox One version on Metacritic.

NBA 2K18 will release on Nintendo Switch in September 2017.
