Whilst we’ve known for a while that CyberConnect2 were hard at work on a sequel to Solatorobo: Red the Hunter, nothing has materialised since such news all those years ago.
Although a trademark for ‘Little Tail Story’ recently filed by Namco Bandai could suggest that an announcement is on the way. Solatorobo itself had been a spiritual sequel to PSone RPG Tail Concerto, which saw players adventure through a world filled with anthropomorphic dogs and cats.
Little Tail Story certainly sounds like it could be a follow-up to that, Namco Bandai having also filed a trademark for “dog and cat in an RPG” adding further weight behind such thoughts. Hopefully we can expect more news in the coming months, and also that it’s head to a Nintendo platform.
