MDickie has confirmed that Wrestling Empire will release on Nintendo Switch this week.

This wrestling game has looked to recall the genre’s “64-bit heyday,” in wanting to “put the fun first” in filling the ring with as many wrestlers as you can handle before letting them loose with freestyle animation.

With the chance that anything could happen at any moment, you can design matches that unravel before your eyes thanks to what’s promised to be an “intuitive setup process.”

While you can tag in up to four controllers at any time for some old school multiplayer, you also have the chance to create your own wrestling star and set out on a career in which you will encounter up to 350 opponents from 10 different rosters in “an endless schedule of possibilities.”

You will need to make the right moves backstage as well as in the right to make sure that you can retire with a career worth remembering.

Wrestling Empire will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 11th January 2021.
