Update: Nintendo of Europe have now confirmed that Mythical Pokémon Genesect will also be distributed across the region following launch, available between October 12th – November 12th.
Original Story: Encouraging early purchase of Pokémon Black Version 2 or Pokémon White Version 2, Nintendo have announced a distribution event to take place during the month immediately following launch.
Those that pick up either game across North America on October 7th will be able to receive Mythical Pokémon Genesect through the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
Such promotion will run until November 12th, with the newly discovered Genesect having been restored from a 300 million year old fossil, and modified by Team Plasma with the signature move called Techno Blast – a move unique to the Mythical Pokémon.
Genesect is a Bug-and-Steel-type Pokémon with the ability to adjust its power levels based on the foe it’s battling.
“Not only can players dive into a brand new adventure on October 7th with Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2, they also can receive an incredible new Pokémon right off the bat,” explained Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing.
“This limited-time distribution will get players off to a great start with what is sure to be one of 2012’s biggest games.”
