Nintendo has opened the My Nintendo Store in Japan this week, the online outlet providing a unique chance to specifically choose which colour Joy-Con you would like to buy with your Nintendo Switch.

Housed in a snazzy, exclusive branded box, it’s a neat idea but caught so much consumer interest across the country that the website promptly crashed under the traffic strain as soon as it launched.

Despite that momentous buckling, some visitors were eventually able to place their customised Nintendo Switch pre-order and, now, the My Nintendo Store lists that they are now longer accepting any more reservations for delivery at launch.

Although, Nintendo promise that they will notify everyone when they are ready to accept more orders at a later date.

Nintendo Switch will launch worldwide on Friday 3rd March, priced at £279.99 ($299.99).
