Motion Controls Are Optional In ARMS On Nintendo Switch

Having played ARMS at the Nintendo Switch UK Premiere, I can easily advocate that the extendable-limbed brawler is best experienced when wielding two Joy-Con controllers and pounding your opponent into submission using motion controls.

Nintendo is more than aware that there are those with an immediate aversion to swinging their arms around in private, and, in wanting as many players to experience their new IP as possible, has confirmed that motion controls will be optional in the final game.

That news came in the Nintendo Treehouse Live with Nintendo Switch stream, where the team confirmed that players would be able to use traditional button input if they preferred.

ARMS will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch in Spring 2017.
