The most pirated Wii game of 2011 was Super Mario Galaxy 2, specialist site TorrentFreak reports.

Mario’s finest outing was downloading an estimated 1.28 million times according to gathered data, with Mario Sports Mix (1.09 million), Xenoblade Chronicles (950,000 downloads), LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean (870,000 downloads) and FIFA 12 (860,000) amounting to become the five most pirated Wii titles throughout the year.

On PC, Crysis 2 was downloaded illegally an estimated 3.92 million times, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 saw 3.65 million downloads, and Battlefield 3 reached 3.51 million.

Whereas Xbox 360 downloads were topped by Gears of War 3, which was downloaded 890,000 times. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 saw 830,000, Battlefield 3 760,000, Forza Motorsport 4 720,000 and Kinect Sports: Season Two hit 690,000.
