Moshi Monsters: Katsuma Unleashed prepares to bring side-scrolling action-adventure antics to Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DS later this year.

Once again drawing inspiration from Mind Candy’s beloved children’s franchise, it traces the voyage of stand-alone hero character Katsuma as he journeys through brand news worlds filled to the brim with mini arcade challenges and boss battles. He’ll use powerful new capabilities, such as Furi’s Smash and Diavlo’s Flight, in order to rescue other Moshi Monsters.

Those picking up the Nintendo 3DS version can enjoy secrets unlocked through StreetPass, with 18 explorable maps and monster attack games where players can choose other Moshi Monsters.

“We’re delighted to continue our partnership with Activision on our third Nintendo title, and we are hugely inspired by the amazing talents of Sumo Digital who have developed some fantastic games in the past,” comments Andy Matjaszek, Mind Canday’s senior global marketing manager.

“This time around, with Katsuma Unleashed we’ve broken out Katsuma as a stand-alone character to deliver an all-new, incredible Moshi Monsters game that fans of all ages can enjoy.”

Moshi Monsters: Katsuma Unleashed will release for Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DS on October 11th in Europe, and on November 5th across North America.
