Digital Eclipse has confirmed a release date for Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.
This compilation lets you experience the legendary origins of the Mortal Kombat franchise with a library of classic games from the 1990s and 2000s, including arcade, console and handheld versions.
You will have the chance to unlock hidden secrets at the touch of a button, engage in online play battles enhanced by rollback netcode, and play with friends with GameShare support. There is also an interactive documentary chronicling the series’ history, which features rare concept art, archival video footage and exclusive interviews.
The developer has outlined the game’s key features, which include:

- Interactive Documentary: Deep behind-the-scenes content chronicles the history of the franchise, featuring exclusive new interviews with original MK developers Ed Boon, John Tobias, Dan Forden, John Vogel, and dozens more.
- The Full Story: Detailed character histories and timelines trace the epic narrative of Earthrealm, Outworld, and Edenia through the arcade era.
Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch worldwide on 30 October 2025, with a physical release to be made available on 12 December 2025.
