Monster Hunter XX will soon see release on Nintendo Switch, and Capcom has announced that it will support cross-play with the Nintendo 3DS version.

This will let players transfer their save data between each version over the Internet, while those that have played Monster Hunter Generations can choose to transfer their progress directly to the Nintendo Switch version – although, cannot do so in the opposite direction.

On Nintendo Switch, you can enjoy playing the action RPG in TV, Handheld and Tabletop Modes, with the chance to rally a hunting party with up to four players in local or online play. Those that choose to play multiplayer online, can also welcome Nintendo 3DS players to their team.

Monster Hunter XX will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch on August 25th in Japan.
