With news that Monster Hunter XX will soon see release on Nintendo Switch, Capcom has shared the first screenshots for the console version of their action RPG.

These were posted on the Japanese Nintendo eShop and immediately show a sharpened graphical overhaul when directly compared to the Nintendo 3DS version.

It’s comparable to when Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate saw release on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, which had seen the console version openly boast higher resolution visuals, improved shadows and loading times as well as tweaked menu and HUD overlays.

Monster Hunter XX will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch on August 25th in Japan.
