Capcom has revealed Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, a “monstrous new expansion” that will introduce “an all-new storyline with more new monsters, in addition to new locales, gameplay elements, quest rank and more.”
The news was shared to open this week’s Nintendo Direct presentation, with a short trailer revealing an eerie new setting that will serve as a backdrop to a menacing new monster.
“Our friends at Capcom are working on many new elements that will enhance the experience for players of Monster Hunter Rise, including new stories, locales, monsters, and, although not touched on in the trailer, new hunting actions and quest rank,” explains Nintendo’s Yoshiaki Koizumi.
Monster Hunter Rise is now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
