Monster Hunter Generations Announced For Nintendo 3DS

As indicated by the leaked trademark, Capcom has announced that they will release Monster Hunter Generations as a Nintendo 3DS exclusive this summer.

Initially released as Monster Hunter X in Japan, it becomes the newest installment in the action RPG series to strike westward and will be distributed by Nintendo of Europe in the region.

Players will once again take on the role of a hunter, seeking out colossal creatures throughout the world to make their fortune. Money and resources are necessary to craft powerful weapons and armour, with players required to defend each of the game’s four villages from the threat of new monstrous menaces known as the Fated Four.

New gameplay mechanics such as Styles and Hunter Arts are introduced, which see Generations promise to be let players personalise their playstyle. The new Prowler Mode will let you play as a Felyne for the first time too, with multiplayer open to local wireless or online play.

A new collaboration has also been revealed, which will see the Nintendo 3DS exclusive include a unique armour set inspired by Marth from the Fire Emblem series. Those with Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate save data will also unlock bonus content in the new game.

Monster Hunter Generations will launch exclusively for Nintendo 3DS in Europe and North America this summer.
