Monster Hunter 4 producer Ryozo Tsujimoto has confirmed to Japanese magazine Famitsu that development is currently 60% complete.

Such discussion came within the second part of the magazine’s feature delving into future gaming plans from leading developers, with Tsujimoto adding that he would like to consider other forms of media for the series.

Alongside this, he noted that the series had originally been online and placed an emphasis on story, although story has played a far more key role as it progressed.

Tsujimoto also revealed how happy he was when he hears that players have become friends through playing the game.
