Monster Games last worked on porting Xenoblade Chronicles 3D to New Nintendo 3DS, but we may have uncovered an indication as to what their next project could be.

NeoGAF spied that software engineer Joshua Ruis mentions on his LinkedIn profile that, in his time at the developer since February 2015, he has been working on an unannounced title.

That has seen his work cover building architecture to be used to build a UI system, creating tools that improve the artists work flow with Unity’s Substances, and those that improve the overall UI system’s flexibility. But, of more interest, is mention that he had responsibility to help “build out the Career and Championship modes UI.”

Those details, which have since been removed, have immediately cast speculation that the studio has returned to the Excite series, in which they Excite Truck, Excitebots: Trick Racing and Excitebike: World Rally on Wii.

With Nintendo NX news potentially coming alongside this week’s fiscal earnings release, this may be on project that we soon hear about.
