Hasbro has revealed Monopoly: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Edition, which has been released to coincide with the blockbuster opening in cinemas.
In Monopoly: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Edition, you will have the chance to jump into the Gateway Galaxy and buy up locations that the moustachioed hero and his pals visit in the film, like the Comet Observatory, Fossil Falls and other galaxies.
Launch Stars can send you flying across the board, but you will need to watch out for Bowser Jr., as if he passes a player on their journey, it’s battle time!
The company has announced the board game’s key features, which include:
- Inspired By The Super Mario Galaxy Movie: In the Monopoly: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Edition board game, fans can imagine collecting Lumas with Mario—just like in the film! Includes characters, places, and artwork from the movie
- Let’s Go Galaxy Hopping: Buy locations from across the galaxy, collect Lumas, watch out for Bowser Jr., and collect the most coins to win
- 6 Super Mario World Tokens: Choose from 6 colourful, sculpted plastic Monopoly tokens: Mario’s hat, Luigi’s hat, a Luma, a Yoshi egg, Princess Peach’s umbrella, and Toad’s headlamp
- Board Features Locations From Film: Buy up properties like Fossil Falls, Comet Observatory, and other galaxies! Railroads are Launch Stars that send players flying across the board
- Battle Bowser Jr. and Collect Lumas: If the Bowser Jr. token lands on a player’s spot, they’ll have to battle him! When a player lands on, or passes GO, they collect a Luma by taking a Luma chip (it’s worth coins!)
