It isn’t only Monopoly: The Legend of Zelda that you can look forward to this year, with Monopoly: Pokémon Kanto Edition also shortly set to arrive at retail.
This will see you select from six metal tokens – Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Eevee and Jigglypuff – before setting out on an adventure through the Kanto region. You will travel through all eight gyms, while Trainer Battle and Professor Oak cards replace the traditional Chance and Community Chest. Poké Marts and Pokémon Centers replace Houses and Hotels, with even Pokémon Money jazzing up what cash is usually found within the popular board game.
GameStop have the alternate Monopoly version listed for $44.99, which will shortly launch on August 30th.
