The more we see of Monolith Soft’s mystery Wii U project, the more we can hardly wait to get our incredibly eager mitts on it.

Yesterday’s E3 2013 Nintendo Direct saw the company share another gameplay trailer for project “X,” widely attributed to Square Enix’s PlayStation classic Xenogears due to the striking red X that makes a bold appearance.

Regardless of its true identity, it simply looks sublime. Mechanised vehicles that can transform between differing forms, a vast open world, and the best graphical showcase that the Wii U has yet seen.

Colour us excited indeed, and we certainly can’t wait to learn more whenever it may be.
