Nintendo of America have declared that Wii U was able to close 2014 out with a bang, with December apparently seeing the “biggest month of sales in its history.”
That saw it set new benchmarks for hardware and software sales within a single month, although the company wouldn’t drill down any further beyond providing year-on-year percentage comparisons.
In directly comparing to 2013, Wii U hardware and software sales throughout 2014 increased by more than 29 percent and more than 75 percent, respectively. Nintendo will be pleased by such positive results, although will look to build them even further in 2015 through the likes of Splatoon, Mario Maker and The Legend of Zelda Wii U.
