Molyneux: Wii U is “lacklustre”

The renowned Peter Molyneux will join Spike TV’s E3 2012 coverage, discussing the latest announcements, software and hardware at the show.

He’ll be joined by Kotaku editor Stephen Totilo and Gametrailers front-man Geoff Keighley, and is clearly relishing the opportunity of sharing his honest thoughts without being constrained by a PR representative.

Alongside the announcement, Kotaku have shared Molyneux’s pre-E3 thoughts, which include a rather firm critique of the Wii U.

“Nintendo’s slightly lacklustre Wii U is going to have to blow us away with better specs and great first party line-up,” Molyneux stated.

Many felt confused and underwhelmed by its E3 2011 reveal, and Nintendo will certainly have to go out guns blazing to rectify that this year.

He later jested, “Thank you so much for having me on the team, please ask you makeup people to stock up on makeup for my bald shiny head.”
