It is “very unlikely” that Minecraft will be developed for Wii U, according to Mojang’s lead designer Jens Bergensten.

Having released Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition as part of an exclusivity deal with Microsoft, it would only be the PlayStation 3 that the indie developer would consider bringing the game to in future.

“Microsoft has an exclusivity deal for consoles,” Bergensten clarified to EDGE. “When it runs out we’ll consider Minecraft for PlayStation, but Wii U is very unlikely.”
