Mojang Studios has announced that a dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 version of Minecraft is in development.
The iconic sandbox game will come to the portable home console with the Vibrant Visuals graphics upgrade, which delivers improved visual elements like enhanced shadows and lighting effects, and the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack.
The Mash-Up Pack lets you explore a custom Mario-themed world and comes with 15 tracks and 40 player skins that take inspiration from the Super Mario series.
Those who purchase the Nintendo Switch 2 version can also carry over their save data and worlds from the Nintendo Switch version, meaning that you can pick up right from where you left off.
Minecraft will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 “later this year.”
