Nintendo’s first-ever smart device application has proved a resounding success, with Miitomo having long surpassed three million downloads worldwide and topping the App Store and Google Play.

Beyond that, we haven’t had any indication as to how it has fared over the past few weeks. Step in SurveyMonkey, who have analysed the application’s recent performance.

Every day last week Miitomo was downloaded an average of 370,000 times, with two-thirds attributed to iOS. That has seen the audience grow, which now sits as four million monthly active users with one million being active on a daily basis. That sees the average user spend 7-8 minutes in the app per day, spread between 2-3 sessions.

In terms of monetisation, it is estimated that the game makes $40,000 per day ($280,000 per week), which sees daily users on average spend 3-4 cents.

That isn’t cause for worry, with SurveyMonkey concluding: “While low compared to mid-core games like Supercell’s Clash Royale, this is actually a healthy number for a more casual game like Miitomo, especially early on.”
