Super Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai has revealed that Mewtwo is currently under consideration as a returning character to the iconic brawler’s roster.
Having questioned The Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara and Game Freak director Junichi Masuda last week regarding a potential return appearance, the duo nervously looked toward Sakurai in the audience who soon shouted his own response: “We are thinking about it!”
With Mewtwo’s emerging prominence in Pokémon X and Y, due to a mysterious new forme, it would perhaps make sense for the Psychic Legendary to rejoin the character list.
