Konami Digital Entertainment is expected to announce that it will release Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater on Nintendo Switch 2, according to the latest rumours to surround the portable home console’s successor.
When discussing third-party games that he has heard are coming to Nintendo Switch 2, established insider Nate revealed that the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake was among them (Nate the Hate Podcast Timestamp: 44 mins 31 seconds).
“… some other third-party games I have heard include Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, which is coming out in 2025,” Nate shared. “Right now it lacks a release date for all platforms, and I’m hopeful that maybe it is a day-and-date release when it does come to Switch 2. If that game, let’s say, comes out in Summer 2025, there’s no reason it shouldn’t be day-and-date.”
Despite the rumours that continue to flood the Internet, we only officially know that Nintendo has promised to reveal its successor to Nintendo Switch before the end of March 2025 and has confirmed that the hardware will be backwards compatible with the original portable home console.
Today a rumour emerged that the Nintendo Switch 2 hardware will be revealed on Thursday 16 January, with a software showcase to broadcast in late February or early March.
Nintendo Switch 2 will be revealed before 31 March 2025 and is expected to be released around the world in 2025.
