Capcom has announced that Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 and 2 will release on Nintendo Switch,

Mega Man X Legacy Collection will have Mega Man X to Mega Man X4, while, as you can probably guess, Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 will have Mega Man X5 to Mega Man X8.

With improved graphics across the board, Capcom will also let you choose whether to use the smooth correction or the nostalgia-driven CRT filters. You can also play each game in its original resolution, switch to full screen while preserving the aspect ratio, or switch to widescreen mode.

There is also a new X Challenge mode, in which you can battle pairs of classic Mavericks from across each game. You can choose to take three weapons with you into battle or to challenge yourself with a buster only run, with the chance to compare your best times with others on the leaderboard.

The Legacy Collection will have a Museum mode where you can watch The Day of Sigma, which is an animated prologue to Maverick Hunter X, as well as explore a gallery of concept sketches, vintage trailers, box art and production art, and listen to music from each game.

Mega Man X Legacy Collection will release for Nintendo Switch in Europe and North America on July 24th and will be made available digitally for $19.99 each or as part of a special retail bundle for $39.99.
