Mega Man 11 wasn’t the only announcement that was made in the Mega Man 30th Anniversary Livestream, with the news that Mega Man Legacy Collection and Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will release on Nintendo Switch.

This will present you with the chance to play all 10 games in the numbered Mega Man series, before the next game lands late next year. Mega Man Legacy Collection will also include the original six 8-bit games, and Capcom has shared that they will add a new Rewind accessibility option that will let players go back in time after they make a mistake.

“I have one more piece of news for everyone. It’s in regards to Mega Man Legacy Collection. It’s a great opportunity to play all the classic titles from Mega Man 1-10 in preparation for Mega Man 11. But there’s been one regret that’s lingered with me,” producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya admitted.

“Between the release of Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2, a new piece of hardware called the Nintendo Switch came out. As a result, it was a regret of mine that we weren’t able to support it. But we’re fixing that. Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2 will both be available on the Nintendo Switch. Of course, they will also have amiibo support, so please look forward to it.”

Mega Man Legacy Collection and Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will release for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Spring 2018.
