Capcom has confirmed a release date for Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, which is coming to Nintendo Switch early next year.

That will see all 10 Mega Man Battle Network games come to the portable home console in two separate digital volumes, which will include:

  • Mega Man Battle Network
  • Mega Man Battle Network 2
  • Mega Man Battle Network 3 White
  • Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue
  • Mega Man Battle Network 4 Red Sun
  • Mega Man Battle Network 4 Blue Moon
  • Mega Man Battle Network 5 Team Protoman
  • Mega Man Battle Network 5 Team Colonel
  • Mega Man Battle Network 6 Cybeast Gregar
  • Mega Man Battle Network 6 Cybeast Falzar

Set in the near-future interconnected world of Net Society, which relies on computer programs known as Network Navigators (or NetNavi for short) to manage everything from their toasters to city power grids. This networked age brings convenience, but it has also resulted in a wave of cybercrime that erodes all levels of society.

You are Lan Hikari, who uses his PErsonal Terminal (or PET) and his NetNavi, MegaMan.EXE, to confront the culprits behind these cybercrimes. That will see you control MegaMan.EXE as he “explores the net, engages in grid-based combat and uses Battle Chips to gain devastating abilities capable of deleting even the most sinister viruses.”

The Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection will have optional high-resolution filters that will let you “enjoy smoother, less pixelated visuals” or you can choose to keep the original look.

You will also be able to access more than 1,000 pieces of concept art, character sketches and official illustration in the Gallery, the Mystery Data section has exclusive illustrations from past events and images of licensed goods and the Music Player will have more than 180 tracks from across each game.

Those who pre-order will unlock exclusive content that includes two new skins for the MegaMan.EXE PET on the game’s launcher screen – Hub Style for Volume 1 and Dark MegaMan for Volume 2 – and four new special arrangements of original music from the Mega Man Battle Network series that you can listen to in the Music Player.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection will release digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 14th April 2023.
