With Pokémon X players seeing access to Mega Charizard X, Nintendo have confirmed that the previously revealed Mega Charizard is in fact Mega Charizard Y.
As with other Mega Evolutions, players will need to source the unique Mega Stone Charizardite Y in order to see their flame-fuelled Pokémon capable of evolving further.
Once it becomes Mega Charizard Y, the Pokémon’s Special Attack increases significantly, and its Ability changes to Drought, which sees the power of Fire-type moves increase, whilst also gaining access to the Fire-type move Blast Burn.
Pokémon X & Y will release worldwide on October 12th.
