2K and Marvel Entertainment have shared a new Hero Spotlight trailer for Marvel’s Midnight Suns, presenting the chance for you to meet Captain America.
“A scrawny Army reject at the outset of World War II, Steve Rogers became a powerful Super Hero and decorated veteran known as Captain America by the war’s end. Denied entrance into the armed forces due to his health, Steve realized his only hope of fighting for liberty and justice was to volunteer for a risky military science experiment. He was injected with Super-Soldier Serum and physically transformed into a powerful enemy of evil with legendary strength of body and spirit,” the character description reads.
“An accident near the end of the war left Captain America frozen in suspended animation until the modern day, making him at first a fish-out-of-water in much the same way as the newly-resurrected Hunter…with the additional complication of having more experience fighting Nazis than supernatural demon-kin. However, Cap’s eagerness to serve the good of humankind meant he didn’t hesitate to answer the call of the Midnight Suns.”
Set in “the darker side of the Marvel Universe”, you will battle face-to-face against supernatural forces as you team up with and live among the Midnight Suns, who are Earth’s last line of defence against the underworld.
After centuries of slumber, the nefarious force known as Hydra has revived Lilith, Mother of Demons, who will stop at nothing to fulfil an ancient prophecy and summon her evil master, Chthon.
Pushed to the brink, the Avengers enlist the help of the Midnight Suns – Nico Minoru, Blade, Magik and Ghost Rider – young heroes with powers deeply rooted in the supernatural and a group that were formed to prevent the very prophecy Lilith aims to complete. They resurrect an ancient warrior, the Hunter, Lilith’s forsaken child and the only hero known to have ever defeated her.
From Civilization and XCOM series developer Firaxis Games, the game is promised to have “an iconic collection of heroes spanning The Avengers, X-Men, Runaways, and more,” who will engage in “cinematic tactical combat with a Super Hero flair” on an unforgettable adventure.
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features as below:

- Fight, Think, and Live Like a Super Hero. From legendary studio Firaxis Games comes a deep tactical RPG where you fight and strategize like a Super Hero! Marvel’s Midnight Suns will release for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC on 7th October 2022, and is coming to Nintendo Switch “at a later date.”
